G.O VITINNAT is a Task Force formed to provide innovative and sustainable natural solutions in the wine sector, whose objective with this project is to make considerable advances in the research of sustainable solutions and circular economy, to solve the problem of wood diseases in vines, which are increasingly prevalent in vineyards around the world.
Led by the CENTRO TECNOLÓGICO NACIONAL AGROALIMENTARIO “EXTREMADURA” (CTAEX), and comprised of the companies BODEGA MATARROMERA (Valladolid), IDAI NATURE (Valencia), AGROZONO (Valencia) and by the CARLOS III HEALTH INSTITUTE (Madrid).
On March 13th, the General Secretariat of Agriculture and Food of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food published the RESOLUTION ON THE GRANTING OF AID FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF INNOVATION PROJECTS OF GENERAL INTEREST BY OPERATIONAL GROUPS OF THE EUROPEAN ASSOCIATION FOR AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTIVITY AND SUSTAINABILITY INNOVATION (AEIAGRI), UNDER THE NATIONAL PROGRAMME FOR RURAL DEVELOPMENT 2014-2020, FOR THE YEAR 2019. This aid is intended for the implementation of innovation projects of general interest by operational groups of the European Association for Innovation in Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability (AEI-Agri), within the framework of the National Programme for Rural Development 2014-2020, for the year 2019.
G.O VITINNAT obtained the sixth evaluation of the forty-seven projects granted, and of the 242 presented.
AGROZONO will carry out the treatments with its AGRZ 800 equipment in the Matarromera vineyard plots, with a minimum irrigation flow of 15 m3/hour for plots of approximately 1.8 hectares. An annual treatment will be carried out every spring. In the spring of 2020 there will be an ozone biocide treatment on each plot, and in the spring of 2021 there will be an oxygenation treatment, to activate the phytoalexins of the plant. Also, after 24 hours of this treatment, a new dose of beneficial microorganisms will be re-inoculated to ensure that colonisation levels in the bulb area are high.
With the data obtained, an exhaustive statistical analysis will be carried out to evaluate the integral efficacy of each of the treatments and their combinations, in the different trial situations.
The project has a total contribution of 591,878.00.
